General Terms and Conditions (Launch Notification List)

These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) govern the use of the Queryance launch notification list on queryance.com. By signing up, you agree to these terms.

1. Scope and Service

Queryance is currently operated as a non-commercial, free hobby project. No service is provided yet. The list solely provides notification at launch: if you sign up, we will notify you by email when Queryance launches. At launch the product will be open source under the MIT license. There is no entitlement to notification at a specific time, to a specific scope of service, or to minimum availability (no SLA).

2. Registration

Registration requires a valid email address, your consent to data processing (see Privacy Policy) and successful completion of the bot check (Cloudflare Turnstile). As a rule, one registration per person is permitted. Multiple registrations and automated registrations are prohibited (see Section 3).

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the service. In particular, the following are prohibited:

  • automated registrations (bots, scripts) and circumventing bot protection;
  • providing third-party email addresses without authorization;
  • attacks on the availability, security, or integrity of the service;
  • any use in violation of applicable law.

In case of violations, we may reject registrations, delete entries, and refuse or terminate access.

4. Intellectual Property and Copyright

Content and works on these pages (texts, trademarks, logos, design) are subject to German copyright and trademark law. Reproduction, adaptation, distribution, or exploitation outside the statutory limits requires our prior written consent. Private, non-commercial copies are permitted within the statutory limits.

5. Liability

The service is provided free of charge and without warranty. We accept unlimited liability in cases of intent and gross negligence, as well as for injury to life, body, or health. In cases of simple negligence, we are liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations (cardinal obligations) and limited to the typical, foreseeable damage. In all other cases, liability is excluded. Liability under the Produkthaftungsgesetz remains unaffected.

6. Changes

We may update these GTC, for example in case of changes to the service or the legal situation. The version published on this page at the relevant time is authoritative. We will announce material changes on the website in advance.

7. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (UN-Kaufrecht). If the user is a merchant, a legal entity under public law, or special assets under public law, the place of jurisdiction is Geldern (Germany), to the extent permitted by law.

8. Consumer Dispute Resolution

We are neither obligated nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (§ 36 VSBG). See also our Legal Notice.
